Assessment of Deep Vein Thrombosis Using Multidetector Computed Tomography After Arthroplasty: A Retrospective Comparative Study with Doppler Sonography

نویسندگان

چکیده

Purpose: The purpose of this retrospective study was to compare the ability indirect 128-row multidetector CT (MDCT) venography and doppler sonography detect deep vein thrombosis (DVT) after knee or hip arthroplasty. Methods Materials: Replacement surgery performed on a total ten sixty-eight joints in 52 patients. evaluation presence DVT is degraded by beam hardening artifact; therefore, Axial images could not be used assess DVT. artifact's z-axis length measured. Deep studied see how common it where occurs. venograms' diagnostic performance assessed compared that gold standard reference for DVT: sonography. Results: artifact had 6.0 (mean deviation). Doppler technique allows you what's going inside your body. In 30/52 individuals, found calf veins (58 percent population). binary scale test revealed sensitivity, specificity, positive predictive value, negative accuracy 93.33 percent, 90.91 92.31 respectively. Conclusion: For aim evaluating post-arthroplasty patients, can utilized as substitute

Evaluation of Deep Vein Thrombosis with Multidetector Row CT after Orthopedic Arthroplasty: a Prospective Study for Comparison with Doppler Sonography

OBJECTIVE This prospective study evaluated the ability of indirect 16-row multidetector CT venography, in comparison with Doppler sonography, to detect deep vein thrombosis after total hip or knee replacement. MATERIALS AND METHODS Sixty-two patients had undergone orthopedic replacement surgery on a total of 30 hip joints and 54 knee joints. The CT venography (scan delay time: 180 seconds; sl...

Deep vein thrombosis after arthroplasty: Nanjing deep vein thrombosis study

Deep vein thrombosis (DVT) remains a life-threatening complication of arthroplasty, despite the development of preventive measures. DVT is caused by both acquired and genetic risk factors. The identification of persons at high risk of DVT clearly aids prevention of the same. Age, sex, pregnancy, hormone therapy, an increase in body-mass index (BMI), history of thromboembolism, and surgery are r...

Incidence of deep vein thrombosis following total hip arthroplasty: a Doppler ultrasonographic study.

PURPOSE To investigate the incidence of deep vein thrombosis (DVT) following total hip arthroplasty (THA) in Singaporean patients. METHODS 197 patients (mean age, 60 years) underwent primary THA (n=155) or revision procedure (n=42) without receiving routine chemoprophylaxis. There were 149 Chinese, 25 Malays, 19 Indians, and 4 Eurasians. Duplex ultrasonography to detect DVT was performed on b...

Outcome of calf deep-vein thrombosis after total knee arthroplasty.

We investigated the outcome of deep-vein thrombosis (DVT) in the calf after total knee arthroplasty (TKA) in 48 patients (45 women and three men) by clinical assessment and venographic study between three and four years after surgery. The mean age of the patients was 67.2 +/- 7.7 years (52 to 85) and the mean follow-up was 42.6 +/- 2.7 months (38 to 48). The diagnosis was osteoarthritis in 47 p...
